On Monday morning, anyway, the media was all over this story. One TV news channel was using words like "terrifying."

Things have since mellowed out, but initially there was an awful lot of hyperventilating.

I'm not saying the story shouldn't have been in the news, but perhaps not at the level ("The Situation Room" on CNN) that it has been.
