Okay, so he doesn't see the benefits of having a story to tell, an airport to tick off, added aircraft and operations to log, the chance to see bits of a new city, experience a new hotel, talk to new people, and even getting some airline payola... fine, he might not be one who enjoys either aviation or travel.

But, in the least he might being overjoyed at the prospect of not arriving home in a pine box. Instead he is pissed even though he landed safely.
