I put in a call to the credit card benefits people after posting this, and they informed me the repair would be fully covered by them. The crack ended up growing up and towards the passenger side then turned and came back to the driver's side. My wife swapped the car yesterday afternoon and filled out the incident report. Just waiting for Hertz to process the paperwork now, I suppose!
