US Airways 769 from Glasgow to Philadelphia - BA lounge access?
Hi everybody,
In a few weeks times, I'm booked on US Airways flight 769 from Glasgow Scotland to Philadelphia, departing at 1020am and arriving at 1pm in the local timezones.
I have a OneWorld Sapphire card and was wondering if anybody could clarify any problems with access to British Airways lounge at Glasgow Airport?
I know that it should usually give me access. However, I wasn't sure if there was a similar lounge access situation at Glasgow Airport as there is in London Heathrow Terminal 1. In Heathrow Terminal 1, OneWorld Sapphire flyers and above have access to a BA UK&Ireland lounge if flying domestically but this is completely separate to the BA Terraces lounge when flying internationally - there is no way to walk between the two as the terminal physically separates domestic and international departures, hence the separate lounges. I imagine that all of the BA flights from Glasgow are domestic so I wasn't sure if the BA lounge would be in a physically separate area only for domestic departure and thus wouldn't be able to accept passengers on international departures (such as me on the US Airways flight).
Can anybody clarify whether I can actually get to the BA lounge in Glasgow Airport when flying internationally using a OneWorld Carrier such as US Airways? I'm hopeful that I will be able to given that I'm flying during the Commonwealth Games so the airport might be busy.
Also... is there anything else I should be aware of when flying from Glasgow with US Airways?
Thanks in advance all.
Simon
