All of the travel card stuff is still there. You should be fine. As for the gift cards, it wasn't just a hasty hack-job removal of "the link"; they actually did a pretty decent job of removing all traces of the gift cards from everywhere on the site and the subdir is blown away or renamed. I didn't go as far as brute forcing shopping cart numeric product IDs (I didn't have a cached copy) but I did try several other things. This change appears to be permanent. That's really too bad.
