Well, if that's case, then
you're flying AA, not Finnair, and AA operates from terminal 8 and no other terminal at JFK.
Still, you haven't explained what your actual itinerary is, and that matters since
it depends where you're connecting from/to as to what you need to do (
besides changing planes) at JFK.
And, in turn, it depends on what you need to do (besides changing planes) at JFK that would determine how reasonable 1h 20m is.
