Well, if that's case, then you're flying AA, not Finnair, and AA operates from terminal 8 and no other terminal at JFK.

Still, you haven't explained what your actual itinerary is, and that matters since it depends where you're connecting from/to as to what you need to do (besides changing planes) at JFK.

And, in turn, it depends on what you need to do (besides changing planes) at JFK that would determine how reasonable 1h 20m is.
