I have given my FC seat to a Military persons many times and been with other FCs who have done the same. I was seated in 1A a few months ago CHS/ATL with a soldier who had never flown before and was going to basic training so I gave him my window seat. This young man's enjoyment of flying was memorable. No, I did not give up my seat...he had 1B but.... God Bless.
