Great new property in Zurich

Hello All:

There is very little about this hotel in the flyertalk community an I would like to give my impressions of my last three stays there.

Check in was efficient and they offered me 500 points or hot breakfast in the restaurant in the AM.....I took breakfast It was ample and delicious and the service was very nice.

I received a platinum upgrade to a corner junior suite which had a separate toilet and bathroom....which was great as you don't have to wait while your partner brushes their teeth etc to use the lav. The bed was very comfortable and the room smelled NEW. Walls painted white. Nespresso coffee machine in the room and no extra charge for the coffees. 2 bottles of free water each night were provided.

We also received club access and the club was lovely. Every evening they put out a hot meal/snack from 6-9pm with wine and beer and softdrinks etc. the Lounge was also open all day for coffee tea etc. The view from the lounge was out over Zurich.

This hotels value proposition cannot be ignored. It is new with surprisingly large rooms for Zurich. The costs are moderate and the room is new. Last time I stayed downtown for almost double the per night rate and had a closet that hadn't been renovated in 10 years! Welcome Sheraton Zurich!

Staff were friendly, even the bartenders in the evening in the bar were helpful and talkative. I would most definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who is visiting Zurich.

NOTE: This hotel is out of the city center and you need to take the #4 tram into town. It takes 3-4 minutes to get the tram and then 15 minutes for the trip itself. The people watching is nice and the full day tram pass is 8.90 SFR for a 24 hour period. This was a slight inconvenience but easily overlooked once you factor in all the positives.

Safe travels to all.
