I just got an email from HSBC indicating that I can get 20% bonus Avios for transferring points to miles from my HSBC Premier World MC, from July 1 to August 31.

While the HSBC Premier World MC is generally not a great card for generating points, it is nice to be able to transfer odd amounts to top off mileage for short-haul redemptions. And now, there's an extra 20%!

It is effectively 1.2 avios /$ for all charges, if it credits prior to August 31, which isn't bad for non-category charges.
