I am hoping it would not impact and this is the reason, I am booking 2 one way tickets instead of a round trip ticket.

All AAdvantage awards are one-ways; a roundtrip award
itinerary is just a combination of two one-ways.
If and when you decide that you want to stay in BOM, just call AA and ask them to drop the BOM-DEL segment from the outbound award; there is no charge for this.
