Thanks for any help.
It's hit or miss honestly.

Keep in mind the same food coming from Beijing Leaves Houston going back to Beijing

Inbound IAH @ 3:40, leaves @ 1AM
Same plane same flight

So I flew this route in both J and F.

I found the J food to be better since this was almost a year ago when air china was advertising about the route.

I recently flew F weeks ago same route RT.

On J, you get the same food as F it's traditional on CA.

First time ever the food was actually decent, it was Cod Fish w/ rice, Small Asian dishes, and some bread.
Appetizers were pretty mediocre , choice of shrimp dish, or Raw Beef.
But the other meal was Seafood Mixture with rice (Terrible) , get the beef noodles if you have 2 options.

2nd time : To flight, I got terrible mediocre Duck meat seared in sauce with Veggies, and Beef seared in sauce with veggies. I basically ate less than 20% of the meal and the FA looked at me like I was wasting a million dollars.....

Third time: I ordered the meal since it was a flight leaving Beijing, can only order meals if you leave Beijing. Cod Fish dish cooked differently, was AMAZING. Loved it a lot and it was great. But than the 2nd meal was Beef Noodles which tasted like food we ate in elementary school

You'll like the different types of Tea they have aboard on J/F, it's different from the tea offered in Economy.

They had several wines aboard, and they "ran out" of some. Which is ridiculous knowing less than half of J and F were sold on every flight.

I don't know what your next destination is or if it's final but the airport is 200 degrees when you arrive in Beijing and it's a ghost house cause you're the first ones off.

My two cents is to order food on your trip back to IAH.
