The "line-in" jack still isn't as universally available as the CD player, and iPod/iPhone connectivity often requires a special cable that isn't supplied with the rental. I'm glad to see that Bluetooth streaming is becoming more common, but if you
must listen to something while your driving, the Audio CD works in all but the most minimally-equipped cars.
