Just bringing this forward. Don't think we have heard a good response from AC as to why the redemption on Aeroplan is the same for Rouge as it is for mainline.
LCC is Low Cost Carrier
The equal and alternative description would be HCC ... High Charge Carrier. Since they cost the same to us and provide lower levels of services.
I can answer for AC:
Because all mistakes and oversights that we make help us and hurt you. Otherwise they would be corrected, sometimes by yanking miles out of your account for something that happened years ago. So, no mistakes exist unless they hurt you. Now, until you call us on a mistake and oversight, we will leave it in place because it is very, very, very profitable for us to do so, and once called on it... called LOUDLY on it, we can claim *blush* ooopsie oversight. We are working on a fix. It will get here by 2017.
