I have 3 days to tack on to a trip. My schedule basically allows for Kuala Lumpur or Singapore. I could possibly make Taipei work as well.
I know this is a pretty broad question and depends on my interests. I love going to new places, and all three are new to me. I like seeing different cultures, love trying new food, and love a little bit of "crazyness" in a city. Additionally, I enjoy a good day trip outside to city. Also looking for a decent place to meet people, as I'll be traveling solo. I'll likely stay in a hostel for the atmosphere. I know this is probably the wrong website for hostel info, but a city with a decent backpacker scene wouldn't hurt.
For anyone with experience with these cities, I'd love your opinion.
I haven't heard too many glowing reviews of both KL and Singapore, and the general consensus seems to be that both are a bit boring. Hopefully they will prove this wrong!
