Why would your wife have BOTH curlers and a straightener? Is she dual voltage AND dual styling?
Seriously though, a good tip would be to pre-set the dual voltage appliance to the higher voltage to avoid frying said appliance when she plugs it in without checking first. If it is set to high voltage but you are in a lower voltage country, I imagine it just wouldn't work as well but would avoid the frying mess.
