Disappointed with Medallion line
6-23 called Medallion line to advise when I made my award ticket reservation ORF--PWM I did something wrong and my reservation shows "upgrade eligible" instead of "Medallion upgrade requested". After 15 minutes on hold agent tells me "award tickets not eligible for upgrade" I respond "that must be a recent change as I thought all medallions were eligible except Silver". She confirms "not eligible". I was on my way to work so thanked her for her help.
6-24 I researched on Delta.com and see that I was correct. Called Medallion line back and asked the same question and was told the same as on 6-23. I told the agent I was looking at Delta.com and could confirm all medallions were eligible for upgrade on award ticket except Silver. On hold for another 15 minutes. Agent comes back on the line, apologizes for the bad information and corrects the reservation
In the end the problem was corrected: However, I thought that would of been common job knowledge for the Medallion line agents and was disappointed I had to call twice and wait 30 minutes for it to be corrected.
Hope everyone else has better skills making the reservation to prevent the original problem and better luck with the Medallion line!
