The good news is that A7-ACC will shortly enter refurb, it is the last of the 'old' A330s, the ones with the tiny PTV and fixed IFE controls in the arm rest. The remaining A330-200s that have not been refurbished have modern IFE and seats, though not as good as the refurbished ones.

Regarding seating, in the several times I have used Hamad airport I have always found plenty of seating outside of the hold areas.
