No print outs, and once without device on me I asked to use their computer to show my HH account that I had a booking after all, and the applicable rate.

Other than that at many UK and German properties (where I stay most) I just say my name, and don't need to show any ID/confirmation - so if I don't swipe the CC for extras no name confirmation at all. I think that's linked to status (not sure where I once read that, but it was some sort of official document).
