and use a 241 voucher. You need to book ex-JER (for the outbound leg only).
So, 4500 Avios + £17.50 gets you to JER (this is a separate RFS booking). Then you immediately turn around and fly JER-LGW and on to wherever on your Amex 241 redemption booking.
This will save you the APD, it won't save you paying BA's YQ.
