We have all clearly established the massive flaws in the Rouge concept from a customer perspective. When, if ever, will the AP reward miles required for a flight be reduced accordingly?
This is a very practical question for me this winter. I'm looking to book my family to HNL in January, but I refuse to pay full points for a Rouge flight. With SE priority awards unavailable on any other airline, it seems I'm stuck with a take-it-or-leave-it proposition.
Pathetic on AC's part. Very frustrating. And I want them to know it is having a direct impact the dollars I (no longer) spend with AC. I've already made the choice to avoid AC for exactly this reason, booking a $4000 family vacation to Paris on UA instead of Rouge. That won't be the last time I make such a choice.
We don't operate rouge to CDG and have no plans to.
