As others have mentioned the information is there, it just depends on the staff. My experience has been that most properties i stay at have staff who welcome me back and thank me for being a Diamond member. I am usually staying at Hilton's, Conrad's, and a few Doubletrees in major cities (NY, Atlanta, London, Munich, Frankfurt, Rome, Istanbul, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Lima).
