Miles&More and EuroBonus simultaneously
Hello,
I am currently a Miles&More Frequent Traveller and right now, the majority of my flights are with SWISS and Lufthansa in economy. I’ll be based in Stockholm for the next two years and my job will have me taking cca. 4-10 flights every month while I’m there. So I thought it might make sense to sign up for EuroBonus in addition to retaining my M&M FTL status, to enjoy the same perks at Scandinavian airports (lounge, business check-in, etc.). The flights will mostly be intra-European in economy, so the only way to achieve EB Silver and retain M&M Silver would be through segments, not miles.
The problem is, I’m not quite sure how to manage the two Star Alliance programmes simultaneously (or if it is even possible/allowed), because most of my flights will probably combine SAS with Lufthansa/SWISS — I presume that if I credited a joint SAS/Lufthansa flight with Miles&More I would receive both the miles and segments for the flights on Lufthansa, but only miles for the flights on SAS (and vice versa).
So, is there a way around it? Perhaps always retroactively crediting the corresponding segments of a flight separately with EuroBonus and Miles&More? Or would I just have to pick flights that either include only Miles&More carriers or only SAS, to make sure I always get all the segments credited?
I hope this is not too convoluted and I apologise in advance if the question is perhaps rather banal, but I haven’t really found any useful information regarding this topic.
Thank you very much for your help and advice.
Kindest regards,
Luca
