The answer is frankly the service isn't great.

It is a sort of strange brunch affair upon departure with a weak 2nd service (and I honestly can't remember what that was but think perhaps afternoon tea but I picked something from the Bistro menu) and very poor CCR offering in JFK pre-departure.

All in probably about the worst food offering of any BA F Flight I have ever taken.
