I called to cancel the US Airways MC and they offered to do a product change to the Arrival+ and "permanently" waive the $89 fee. I wasn't interested in doing a product change so I declined. I didn't inquire whether or not the $89 fee permanently being waived was just the first year fee, and I didn't ask for a new card signup bonus.
