The agent I spoke to said nothing would appear on the united.com/bagtrack site until the bag had cleared customs and been released to UA. For whatever reason, in the few times I have had a bag not arrive with me, instead of putting it on the first available flight UA puts it on the same flight the next day. So the flight gets in at 7pm tonight, then the bag has to clear customs, then delivered to UA who then gives it to whoever they subcontract delivery to (Not exactly the A team) and then they deliver it to your home. I guess mine will be delivered around 3am tonight, fortunately live in a doorman building.

Anyway, it's unbelievable that so few bags made it on that flight which was booked full in all 3 cabins….my significant other does not have Global Entry and half the people in the US citizens line were on foreign passports (shouldn't people who enter the wrong line be sent to the correct one, if the airlines/airport can't/won't hire enough people to ensure the system works?) and the processing was indeed very slow. I finally just did Global Entry because I couldn't handle it anymore and thought I would go down and get the bags. I could have carried on my backpack which is not very big, but it was the end of a trip and I was tired, so the fact that a small bag couldn't make it through seem a black mark on whoever devised the T2 system. And we arrived early in London T1 and left over 40 minutes late from T2 so in all the bag had over 2 hours to make it. Second time in a row I have had a checked in bag not succeed in making it onto the connecting flight at LHR, so I would re-iterate, if you have the chance to not check, don't. I rarely do anyway but now unless I am going skiing will I do so in the future.

Hope you get your bag soon!
