Completely agree with others that the UC offers marginal quality free drinks - and the prices for a "fine" wine at the UC is a joke - so I personally head straight to vino volo and enjoy the wifi and wine and environment which IMO is vastly superior to any of the UC at EWR...
I think that's my plan (Vino Volo). And apologies for the RCC typo, heck, I was just discussing this with my wife and she asked which P-Club we would go to. Pretty old school, yeh?

Speaking of Vino Volo, do you think the F FA would be gracious about pouring a bottle we brought on board? I know that one can't serve themselves on board, but I'm fairly certain the prohibition isn't related to consumption, per se, rather it has to be staff that administers. Of course, you also don't need a Visa to connect in China, so I'm not fully confident that the FA would share my understanding of the rules (if I'm correct). I imagine inflight wines are of better quality than the UC, but I'd still prefer to bring something I know I would enjoy.
