Because it's not only the price change that's the issue - it's the timing and the fare class. The price changed in about 2 minutes - it was $1600 and then was $1800. I can see different prices in different cities, but I am curious about the timing.

So:

And the fare class T ceased to exist in dollars - why?

It exists in GBP.... annoyingly.
