I don't know if the USA Amex Plat has similar coverage for delayed baggage, but the UK Plat allows for claims of up to £300 for baggage delayed by airline (>4 hours) plus and additional £300 for an extended delay (>48 hours). Still only things that you NEED and also not applicable to the last leg of a trip, under the assumption that you will have more of what you NEED at home.
