Extra seat in "wrong" cabin?
Strange question for the cognoscenti here:
This all relates to a single BA sector. The situation:
I'm booked in F (1st leg of a roundtrip)
Friend-A is booked in Y on the same plane (1st leg of a roundtrip)
Friend-B wants to use my avios to fly one-way on the same plane, and the highest available cabin is C.
Neither A nor B have an amex 2for1 voucher, but I do.
Now, assuming I'm generous and want all of my friends to ride as far forward as possible, am I allowed to use a two-for-one for a business award for me (hard wired into the 2for1 mechanism) and Friend-B, leaving the following bookings:
F: me
C: me & B
Y: A
and then get BA to allow A to use "my" extra seat in C? Will it risk his ticket being marked "no show"? Will my extra seat simply be taken away from me because there's only one of me?
Thanks for you help
