I wondered if it was due to an infant and for safety reasons but considering i can book row two on the way out on the same aircraft type i thought it was odd

Row one, sometimes row two, is for Golds and higher, presumably so they get some chance of the Monopole before the the lower orders swipe the lot.

I understand the row one blocked off for the 'higher orders' but dont understand why every other seat is showing as available i cant and neither can BA via the phone....allegedly....
Also never seen first two rows blocked off before, only ever seen row one blocked off at point of booking and via MMB. Its only showing row one blocked on the outbound...wierd
