Club card holders get poor treatment on the phone
I'm posting only because United has been unresponsive to my online complains. You can call me spoiled, but I'm paying for better customer service and getting it with Chase but not United. Yes, I read the list of benefits before I signed up for the card.
I hold a United Chase Club Card Visa and am astounded that as a club card holder, I do not get any automatic elite status (even silver) or special hotline access for phone reservations. I was just inquiring on the united hotline for potential Middle East and Asia award flights because of lack of availability online and waited on hold for over 10 minutes and then was put on hold several times by the rude customer service representative. This the latest of several negative phone experiences with United, while with Chase I get a dedicated elite line and competent customer service reps. It is strage that I get first class check in and lounge access at the airport and get treated like nobody on the phone. Why do I get an elite hotine for chase credit card services and no such thing with United? It makes no sense. United needs to fix this before it loses customers like me.
