Nice looking bag, but a couple of warnings.

1) like many Rimowas, the bag is too wide (almost 16"). It won't always fit in sizers (like the new United airlines one) so on a bad day you may not be the only one handling it after all. If they force you to check it, it will get scratched

2) at approximately 7.5 pounds, it isn't particularly light. Fully packed, will be over weight limit for many non-US carriers. Once again some risk it will have to be checked.
