BA would have been much better than SN on that route, and you could write to say that you were disappointed and hope for a good will gesture. Technically though, business class is business class is business class, just like if you book AA's new 77W J and an aircraft change means you get the rubbish old business class you are unfortunately not entitled to formal compensation.
