AA Status not showing up on US Airways
Not sure if this should be in the AA or US forum given that it is about AAdvantage on US Airways flights, but Mods please feel free to move into what is suitable.
Anyway, here is the situation. Recently flew US round trip and the US system did not recognize my AA Gold/OW Ruby status in their systems. I was able to show them my status on the AA App and was allowed to board early etc. but it was definitely a hassle, and missed out on an upgrade which I saw was available, but the agent said he simply couldn't bypass the system and move me.
I am thinking it is because I only made AA Gold on 6/14 and they have not synced the systems? If so, then as long as they sync the systems regularly then it is not an issue. On the other hand, it may be one-off and I was wondering if others had similar experiences if AA/US status not showing up on the other carrier?
