Greetings Ant62, welcome to Flyertalk and to the BA Board, you should have been here far sooner! And congratulations on your LT Gold, all it amounts to is a fallback, or insurance policy, to Gold if you don't get sufficient TPs to be there anyway. Your Lifetime CIV will represent Gold at the lowest level of Gold until you actually travel, so you're probably doing better as it is without the LT "cachet". If your status is already GGL then the Gold CIV is a lot lower than your current CIV. LT GGL is different, your CIV goes up to 100 for that. Having said that, don't assume all staff know how these things work, probably only half of cabin crew know what a Concorde Card is, for example.
