I'm 6'3'' and don't mind them. Better than someone reclining in your face. The personal space in front of you is more open and not having your knee up against a seat is also more freeing. You can also cross your legs over the knee and be okay or get up and strech.

Not to derail this but I kind of dislike how AC grants UA *G preferred seats for free and UA won't give AC *G "preferred" seats.
