I've had similar experiences at Tegel (Berlin) on KLM. But at least there I more or less understand - the airport is crammed, KL has moved to a "different" part of the airport, and the regular arrivals hall is elsewhere.

So they park the plane where the departing pax can board, but have to bus you to a different building to arrive...
