If your concern is the TSA checkpoint on return, those scans (print them out), coupled with other non-standard ID (work, school ID) and anything else you might have with your name & address on it (magazines?), will allow TSA to verify your identity and allow you to fly.

The process is relatively painless and can take anywhere from 5 mins. to an hour depending on how busy the checkpoint is.
