You would think this bonus plan to be at $200k a year would yield the best ... kissing when you are at the counter. last time I had to use the counter that was clearly not the case!
It is Hourly + commission. Glassdoor is a great site to see the hourly rates/avg pay, but commission varies widely. The top agent at every Hertz location making $200k/yr - not even close. One of top agents within all of Hertz, yes quite possibly (the one I personally know of was stationed at LAS until he started his own business).

And in any type of sales jobs, the top performer unfortunately is usually not the friendly one but usually the jerk who tries to scare people into buying insurance or gas or stretching to truth to convince the customer to get an upgraded car. Most of us here don't experience these tactics even the slightest bit because of our membership with Hertz Gold.
