Just came back from a 3 night stay at the VIE.
- Sit down Check-in
- Free neck massage while waiting for room card
Room
- Same as previous stay, ( VIE Deluxe Suite )
- Room I had is pretty alright, can see some wear and tear
- Fridge not working ( rectified on the spot (was replaced with a new one))
Bathroom
- No more Aigner toiletries , they now use bigger labeled bottles to prevent customers from taking them away( cost cutting measure)
- Toilet is worn out, chipped flooring, parquet outside of toilet is slightly warped ( took me sometime before i learnt to avoid it)
- Mould on the shower walls
Facilities
- Swimming pool is small ( Friendly pool staff on duty)
- GYM is huge, well equipped and under utilized
- Changing room has a in door pool/jacuzzi ( Didn't try as I was not sure if I had to to be dressed for it )
Initially asked for late check out but was turned down, asked the duty manager again on last night and was granted late checkout at 1500

I still love the VIE very much, however service standards have dropped. Will book only during the 40% sale, else I'm moving to Sofitel
