Problem solved,question answered!
I have just received the following from my local reservations office:
“I have checked with our head office and the baggage allowance on our codeshare flights with Cathy Pacific has been changed. Economy class the baggage allowance is 30kgs and business class 40kgs.”
Spare a thought for reservations staff who are often overworked and stressed and yet have to deal with passenger enquires because QR IT is too lazy to to update information. Reservations in this case have not been informed of this change thus adding to their workload. Thus lack of communication has irritated both staff and customers. Surely QR should admit that IT is virtually useless for anything but 'Bells and Whistles' and ensure that the people in the front line have all relevant information and that it is updated.
What happens to those who have tickets that state the incorrect luggage allowance? Should they be informed?
