11 hours in Paris (arrive ORY dep CDG)? good or bad idea?

I'm travelling from within the EU to NCE on AirFrance, on the way out I have a 2hour transit att CDG.
On the way back, the option os to fly NCE-ORY with arrival 7.55 AM, my next leg is GDG-GOT at 19.30 pm from CDG.
There will be 11 and a half hours between the flights, and thinking there might be time to see some or at least one of the sights in Paris.

Is this a terrible idea? It will be a Sunday so I'm guessing most shops are closed but I'm thinking there might be something to see or do.

It is a 3 day holiday so it would be possible to travel with carry-on only.

The alternativ is to fly out from NCE later in the afternoon for a tight connection at CDG, no need to swich airports.

Please give me some advice regarding transportation, realistic expectations as to what I will be able to do. And which option you would chose.

Thank you!

Soph

I have done the transatlantic connection att CDG several times and to me, it is a nightmare.
