If the rate you would book on Hyatt.com is a non-refundable rate, you wouldn't want to book that in case the BRG doesn't go thru (i.e. gets denied) because you'd be stuck with the high rate. Unless you are saying you would just book whatever non-prepaid rate was available regardless of whether it will be the rate the BRG is compared against...in which case it is just a waste of time like you said
