If we are talking strictly about transit, both HND and NRT are very similar. They offer good transit experience where you only need to go through a security check and don't need to pick up and re-check your bags.

Airport-wise, both airports offer very similar amenities. Lounges, duty-free shops, restaurants.

Since NRT offers more destinations than HND, depending on where your destination is, you may find NRT to be slightly more convenient than HND.

On the other hand, DO NOT attempt to transit between HND and NRT unless you have been to Japan and know where you're going and have plenty of time.
