I am just venting here, but United just royally pissed me off and frustrated me. I booked two r/t award travel tickets today for my parents today. I received a phone call from UA saying that I was "chosen" for a special offer that for 90 minutes of my time, I would receive 2 free UA tickets within the continental US with no blackout dates. The catch is, I have to go with my girlfriend to listen to a presentation on what United has to offer, special hotels, flights, packages, vacations, ect. They called it the word of mouth campaign, and they wanted us to spread the word to our friends on how great United is after this presentation, for our time we would get free tickets.

After spending 30 minutes on the phone and registering, picking dates, ext, they asked me how old I am, when I said I am 26, they apologized and said that the offer was only available for UA customers 28+. That is complete [nonsense]. I use to traveled a lot and still do so, my girlfriend travels a lot as well. That is just awful service and this is the type of stuff that will make me jump ship to AA.
