It's not pretty with IB. I've only had one - an IB-coded, BA operated flight. No seat selection was possible as OWS. BA website redirected me to IB, which redirected me back to BA. I called BA and after several attempts managed to get a seat allocated. Then the miles took 7 weeks to post (to AA).
