Airlines should know that negotiating with a reactionary government in times of hyperinflation is a losers game. AA should NEVER have operated this long in Venezuela. Had they pulled the plug earlier, the loses would have been substantially less.
CCS-MIA has been, for over 2 decades, a top 5 profit generating route for American, thatīs why they didnīt pull the plug earlier. The problems with the government not paying back only started 2/3 years back.
