Debbie, I'm not sure how you think that solves the problem of the broken line by jumping back in and breaking the line again.
There were obviously a number of server problems that caused duplicate (and more) messages to be posted that completely confused the order of the sign-ups. Also, sometimes two referrals will come in at almost the same time frame and so one will get missed.

Here was a suggestion for those situations from another thread on here. If one referrer gets used twice at almost the same time, then the message that gets posted first gets priority and the second person should scrap the first account and start over with another email address, using the correct referrer name and then edit the original to reflect that change.

With the duplicate messages messing things up, use the same strategy, Debbie, which is what I did. Scrap your original account and start another one referring the person above you in line and keep the integrity of the thread together.

If you've got a bunch of points already earned, then that may not be attractive to you, but it's also not fair to those of us trying to maintain the system here. I got skipped too in the server chaos and just did what it took to get myself back in line.

Jumping in like you've done without a referral for the person above just causes further problems.
