Question Driving Loaner/Courtesy Car from USA to Canada

I am US resident and plan enter Canada at the I-87 Border crossing at Champlain, NY (on the US side) via car.

My regular car needs to go into the shop for while and my service adviser will provide me a loaner and he is personally okay if I drive it from metro NYC to Canada. I will only have the generic 1 page loaner agreement with my name on it.

Can I enter Canada using this courtesy car with this 1 page agreement? It has no specific mention of if I can take the car to Canada.

Wondering if anyone has done this smoothly before. It is a little different than a rental car agreement.
