Yes on plastic-wrapped (thin) mini-pillows & blankets in Y on CX flights - try to get an extra pillow if available if not bringing your own. TPAC flights are known for long hours and regardless of cabin class flown, we always pack extra personal goodies of our own, especially when traveling with children/family - typically, favorite energy/snack bars, trail mixes/nuts, cookies/crackers (sugar boost) and chips (sodium, good for staying hydrated in-flight.) Reasons - just in case CX run out of items if more Y pax are awake & hungry. It's the same items usually offered by CX in their gallery, setup mid-flight for self-service.
CX only stock a limited # of cup-a-noodles (Walmart's 29 cents specials, LOL) but it's hot (once filled with hot water from the gallery) and known to run out. One of our nephew brings his/her own over-sized "preferred" brands found in many local Asian markets (hot/spicy, etc.) and some cooked dry pork "sung" & hard boiled eggs. SIL loved getting a freshly made Vietnamese-style bánh mi sandwiches in the morning from in-town bakery & bring it along - unwrap it 8 to 10 hours into that long flight, it's mightly good sitting in Y - with juice, soda, water or whatever. Remember to get up, walk around & stretch those legs for circulations too.
With about 2.5++ hours between connections at HKG, OP has plenty of time to explore the food courts offering many options & choices inside the airport before the late evening flight.
